Melissani Lake
The Lake Cavern of Melissani is a unique geological phenomenon located 2 km northwest of Sami. The lake is 20m below the surface. Stalactites with an age of 20.000 years and odd shapes adorn most of the cave.
Aenos
Mountain Ainos, located 30 km from Argostoli, is the tallest mountain of the Ionian islands with an elevation of 1,628 metres (5,341 ft). The forest flora includes many varieties of wild flowers, and other wonders hide there, like a large variety of orchids, of which are endemic, just like the violet of Kefalonia.
Fiscardo
A lovely village on the northernmost side of Kefalonia Island, Fiscardo is spread around a picturesque port. Surrounded by lush greenery, Fiscardo is the only village surviving the severe earthquake that hit Kefalonia in August 1953 and flattened almost the entire island.
Assos
The village of Assos in Kefalonia is a charming village perched on the waters edge. The village is full of Venetian ruins most notably the ruins of an old venetian castle. Assos is made up of pebbled beaches, traditional buildings and colourful houses. It is a beautiful village with narrow alleys full of flowering foliage and old churches.

Petani is a magnificent beach located in a distance of 35 km west of Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia, in the beautiful peninsula of Paliki. It consists of blue crystal waters and a stunning landscape of huge verdant cliffs that reach the blue sea. The water deepens right away and there are usually big waves in Petani. The beach is covered mostly with sand and some pebbles scattered along the shore.
